Anne-Valerie Hash to Comptoir des Cotonniers

Fast Retailing-owned clothing brand Comptoir des Cotonniers has appointed Anne-Valerie Hash as its new creative director. Hash, who joins the company after 13 years at her namesake brand, will reveal her first Autumn/Winter 2015 collection in April. She replaces Amélie Gillier, who left in November to pursue “personal projects.”

Wait, what, why? Her namesake line certainly has a better reputation than Comptoir des Cotonniers, right?

apples and oranges...
her own line is high end - even couture...

comptoir is a contemporary brand...
like APC...

both are well respected, but AVH never really has been able to get really wide distribution for her own labels...
this should work out well for both parties, imo...
