Another Man S/S 2015 : Dane DeHaan, Jarvis Cocker & Lana Del Rey

Such a great issue  I really hope I'll be able to find one of Dane's covers.

Sigh...

Another (no pun intended) great publication gone the bland, scrapbooking aesthetic of ARENA HOMME +. I loathe the layout and the ugly, it's-suppose-to-be-amateur-plain-jane compositions. Total loathing.

Thank the fashion gods American Interview and Vogue Homme International still cares about strong art direction and graphic design.

I was so disappointed in the content when I flicked through it. After their iG posts of their best editorials, I was hoping they'd be somehow featured in the anniversary issue. Instead, the content is blander than bland and makes you regret the years that have passed. Mind you I didn't ended up leaving the magazine on the shelves.

Yeah-- Jarvis's shoot is decent enough, but could be so much better.

I don't know if they've become adamant, and just coasting on the brand of the publication-- or, if they really, truly believe all this severe blandness, and it really is blander than bland, is their new movement-- like that stupid normcore. Now they're trying for blandcore...

With all the resources, names and labels they're able to wrangle in, it really is disappointing, depressing, and simply lazy that these are the results. Everything is so lazy-looking. Looking through older issues of Arena Homme + and Another Man from even ten years ago, and this issue looks like a draft, a rough storyboard. Unfinished.

Blandcore. Depressing.

Thanks gulsah for the posts!

Totally agree with you. Especially that this one is supposed to be a special 20th issue (as it's says on the cover). Last year I sad this magazine now it's like outtakes from Dazed or random agency made editorials in bargains.
