OMG except for Lineisy, the others look like the sort of looks and individuals from Harmony Corine’s Gummo. I loathe these kinds of predictably, contrived “rawness”.

Thanks Riseup for the post.

I think these covers are nice.

That said, does anyone else find it interesting / weird / strange / insert adjective that this has become the default way to represent youth / youth culture? Youth is always this sort of quirky, weird de-sexed thing that is about rubberized chokers and 90s references.

But what do I know, I'm old.

All the covers are amazing. Lineisy and Alice covers are my favorite.

I'm right there with you. It's weird to me how contrived these representations of "youth" are. When you think of youth, you want something fresh and liberated. These just feel heavy and depressing like they're trying to recapture youth rather than represent it.

Also, this magazine has gone off the rails in the past year or so. Their art direction was so strong in the beginning. Now it just feels like they're struggling to keep up. And they changed the masthead AGAIN?

I love Lineisy but something feels off in her shot like the lighting.

I am not a fan of Lineisy but she certainly has been doing so much better print wise These covers like billions of other youth issues just all the same for some reason Like why so depressing

The styling is on point, feels kinda raw yet captivating. Definitely the type of covers that'll make u stare at for at least 2-3 minutes straight.

They chose the worst models of this generation. Except Damaris.

Awful covers. Trying too hard to be cool.
