i know there are threads on marras already (mostly kenzo) but i wasn´t too sure if this would fit in...feel free to merge if you think it´s necessary:flower:

i found these pictures on www.ilissa.it
where they are advertising an exhibition of/ about his work (il racconto della forma/the exhibition was in 2003).

i loved his recent work for kenzo and i think one can see that his talent has a history....
i hope you like it.

i´m linking the pictures because they are huge

His style fits Kenzo very well, I think the African theme of this season worked out very nice. A very theatrical catwalk show. Some 'random' shots

annak: How long has he been designing for Kenzo? I really, really like their clothes, but I don't know very much about the brand. I went to Kenzo in London and was completely blown away...I must have stayed there for two hours, I will forever regret not buying the beautiful shirt I tried on there...

^ Nevermind, the link is working now...luckily, I can read italian pretty well! I just looked at the Kenzo s/s 05 collection again...it's so incredible what he's doing!

since 2003? but i am not sure...after kenzo had retired gilles rosier was designing (for womenswear at least) and i think he left 2003.
how big is the kenzo store in london?
what kind of shirt was it?
my italian is very mediocre but i get the basic information mostly (i hope!)

The store is not very large, actually. I was there around four years ago, so the shirt must have been designed by Rosier? Anyway, it was a beautiful shade of cream, sort of a light champagne color, with different types of fabrics and inserts. Not a very good description, sorry! Hard to remember the details now. I would have bought it but it was just too expensive!!!

Well, it's nice to know more about what's going on with the label...I thought it seemed different lately.

this is an illustration by marras for the recent (or last) issue of dazed and confused...i just thought i´d share
