Anyone speak Spanish?

I guess "quehaceres", "cosas" and "tareas" could all be 'correct' and may varies depending on the place or country, with so many coutries that speak Spanish and all have their own way of saying things.
I say "cosas" as in: Tengo cosas que hacer. It may sound more abstract or vague, but it cover a wider rage of things, specially if you don't want to be specific, like: I have things to do.

^exactly.
I do tend to be poorly specific.. or perhaps just old-fashioned with 'quehaceres', like if I go to the bank, I'll say 'voy al banco por unas cosas', even though it's pretty obvious what I'm going for.. not much you can do at the bank except for picking up or depositing some money :p .
same applies to bathroom. -_-

.. speaking of which, one of my cousins used to say as a kid "voy al baño por florecitas" , now that's an abstract one. her kindergarden teacher taught her to say that.

^ "voy al baño por florecitas"
I've never heard that before, but it's better not to be specific with the bathroom.:ninja:

I say "cosas" as in: Tengo cosas que hacer.
So if I said, "Hay siempre cosas que hacer"--that would mean, "There are always things to do."... right?

Gracias. :flower:

Hmmm, if I need to say some phrases in Spanish for assignments. I can always come here!

Its "Soy tonta" -you ARE a girl, arent you?-

Oh ... and personally, Id say "Tengo cosas que hacer" but for the assignment, quehaceres sounds better -yeah Im a teachers pet-
