thx for all the pics scandinavianchic...
sorry to say that this collections and theis group of pictures is a bit of a disappointed compared to the previous collections and images which you introduced us to...

and the pictures look very 'catalog' to me...too bad really...

I'm sorry to say that I totally agree with you... They're not as edgy as they have been before, and you should see how they're priced.

Went to see their collection and one knee length skirt was $850.. Kind of overpricing themselves in this stage, I think..
Anyways, I hope their next collection will be better!

yes, not at all impressed with this design group
but much appreciating you introducing us to the Norwegean fashion scene scandinavianchic..

why dont you put up a thread on Julie Skarland?
i'm sure she will be much appreciated from fellow FashionSpotters.

Hello!

I am a newcomer from Helsinki.

I am not a fashion expert but I am around! Scandinavian chic has an understated elegance to some appealing to others not. One weakness is, as mentioned, the prices. We have to remember though that often these small Scandinavian brands prefer to support their national fashion industry or craftwork and they produce locally; where of course labor costs are according to the living standards. So I too like to look at their products, even try them, but rarely can afford them! Still there are plenty of funs, not overwhelming numbers of course.

As for ARNE & CARLOS, I am interested in their concept, and I plan in my forthcoming first trip to Oslo in July to check their staff for quality. Then I will know, for the time being I can say that their work seems to me consistent to their inspiration, at least as they present it. They still bare the understatement though that for most fashionistas is boring.

I personally would like to see a men’s line from them, just to see how boyish their interpretation of Parton could be!

Bye bye!
