You know, alot of this does remind me of Viktor & Rolf. Kind of ironic, you accidentally put them in the title

ditto softgrey

welcome to tFS, we need more scandinavian chic around :flower:

i liked their site and the mood fo their clothes, i dont find them too Victor&Rolf to be honest and their ss04 is better than their winter04 collection

kudos to their photographer, very interesting images.

btw, from what i hear, scandinavian designers are hot in Paris and London i can certainly see why

thanks everyone! Am glad to be here, there's so many fab "conversations" going on.. btw, I heard they did great at the french fashion week! :woot:

Thanks for posting- lve it scandinavianchic :flower:

And Lena- agreed -the sp04 collection is incredible. The dresses/skirts look to have an oragami? influence- the blue sheath pattern looks like those paper finger games that kids fold up to play with.

The locations/photos are stellar, too- that house with the wood paneling   (fuels my kitch obsession) I am very drawn to these designs-- fun and off-beat

you are welcome :flower:

so they show in Paris then?
Lena, I'm not sure.

I just sent them an e-mail and asked. Will post it here when I get a reply.

Lena,I thought the Autumn collection has that V&R feel, especially in the tailoring. And I agree, the Scandinavians are becoming tremendously abundant now. Its about time too.

So agree about that location. Like something out of a fairy-tale.

Hi, got a reply from them now, and quite a LOT of information.

Their debut show was in Oslo, Norway in 2002 with a low budget collection consisting of nine items. They were nominated to "the designer of the year" because of this collection (it was inspired by Dolly Parton). They had another show in Febuary 2003 in Oslo, and went to Paris after that to investigate the opportunities to have their next show in Paris.

They got picked out by 5 different exhibition halls, and picked Atmosphère, the big tent in Jardins des Tuileries ved Louvre. They got one of their pictures from the ss04 collection on the cover of the Textile Report Magazine, that's distributed in 40 different countries.

They had another show in Paris in March, that went really well. Everything has gone SO fast for this designer duo, and they have little experience with sales and major production. Because of this, they have not been able to sell their line outside Scandinavia.

But, things are HAPPENING! One of Paris' best PR agents are very keen on selling for them, and it's actually Victor & Rolfs PR agent ... :P They will probably start working with this company in August/September. They will also open a show room in Paris around these times as well...

Phew, that's one LONG post! OK, everything in here is translated from Norwegian, so please forgive me if there's any grammar errors.

If I find any other interesting Scandinavian designers, I'll post them! :woot:

Wow is a fabulous site - and do so agree that the settings are gorgeous. The styling is great - I love the one leg up for the summer range then the whole scrren siren look for the Fall/Winter 2004/5. Do kinda agree that the Summer 2004 range was a little more .... dont know what, varied yet together...?
