I definitely thought she'd look better on the runway. The makeup isn't very flattering on her there though.

Yep, I suggested that too (in the exclusives thread).
To claim 5 is a little outrageous, either way you look at it.
We know she was in NY, did she end up walking for anything smaller there too?

You'd think they'd know , they're a pretty renowned agency and have produced many huge runway stars...

Not every big model makes a huge debut - some models start out booking smaller shows and work their way up. Ashtyn definitely has the goods to go far if managed properly.


To be honest, most of the "exclusives" end up fizzling out in a season so...

This is hardly the case.. Ashtyn is exceptional and there is no doubt there are big things in store for her! Considering she had been modeling for less than a month total before the show season, no doubt next season will be a solid debut.

I'm not worried at all... I liked so far all I've seen from her book and, to me at least, rock-solid abilities to look photogenic in any situation is far more important than another so-called smashing first season backed by another of these dubious exclusive bookings.

And who knows what can happen between this season and next one. We won't necessarily have to wait until FW2013 to see more. She's got "it" in print and I'm sure key people (if that vocable makes sense) are well informed enough to be aware of who she is and what she's able to.

As for her look at Manish, sure these pictures seem pretty tedious compared to test shots. But I remember the first time I saw Meghan Collison on a catwalk. As impressed as I was with her look, Supreme polas and other photographs from her book, I was literally floored by how uncomfortable she looked on the runway. If I believe you can hardly improve your skills in print, catwalking is a different matter and can be adjusted with time and training.
