South asians look really good in orange eyeshadow but I guess it's a colour that scares people
More beautiful asian looks :
( style, makeup alley )
Daymn I really like the third girls eyes^
^ Me too !

but one question, Golden_Butterfly, where did you find pictures on makeupalley? all i can get to is swap, diary, boards, member center, product reviews, mua cares and faq
If you go to the section called ' member center ' you will find a link called ' picture search '
i see it now
Ai looks prettiest natural
I'm not very fond of the first picture, but the rest are lovely
Thanks for the pics of Ai!! I really liked the first one angela posted, the twiggy style.. I haven't seen that done before on asian eyes! Looks stunning
There's so much more inspiration now that there's a bit more Asian models in the mix
Thought this was really interesting
please help me too !
i have the 'crease' or 'slit' on my eye aswell, but when i want smokey eyes for my eyelid, my eyeliner forms and thin black line where my 'crease' or 'slit' was. so my results are: black eyeliner on top of eye, smokey black and then a think black line. its such a pain!!
I have the asian "double eyelid" where i consider it a fold rather than a crease because most of it is hidden beneath with only the outter corner showing. whenever i apply dark shadows, all the powder gets pushed up into the crease. after tons of experiments, i found out that in oder to accentuate my fold, i apply bright colors on the folds only. (for a natural look just apply light pearl color on the folds - instantly you'll look like you have a more obvious double eyelid). as for smokey eye, a make-up lady put dark brown liquid liner and then some brown eye shadow and it looked great! the liner didnt smudge at all when i blink.
one question tho, i always see people lining their lower lash line inside of the lashes where the tear duct is. isnt that bad for the eye? its moist and really delicate there.
I know that you're not "supposed" to put black liner on top and bottoms of asian eyes, but that's totally how I do my makeup. I guess most people would consider it dramatic, but I don't really think its dramatic at all...
<--- Me joking around, looking like a p*rn star.
That's pretty much how I do my makeup everyday.. I don't think it makes me eyes look smaller. In face, I think it's just the opposite. What do you guys think?
you are beautiful, and I love your makeup. And I like the pix too. You put enough make on so it is a bit of a 'look' extreme look. If you did it less it would look good too. Do you ever play with differnt colors. Friends of mine do similar looks, and use really strong red, or blues... It looks good too.
ooo! and what about fake eye lashes those would look really good too.
I love 'asian eyes'. And the makeup and diffent looks.
It also works well with the vamp look. Maybe that is what 'smoky eye' look people are talking about.
Oh yes I wear fake lashes quite a lot!
Actually I do wear greens and blues a lot. Sometimes pinks/reds. When I do that I usually put the color on my top lid where the black normally is, then line with some liquid black liner. I also put some color in my inner corner (under my eyes) which sort of makes the eyes and colors "pop", and line the rest of under my eye black.. or black with a small hint of color. I think it looks really nice. I love colored liner, but sometimes it's a bit too much if you line your eyes completely with color, so I add some black to neutralize it a bit.
Are you asian too?
I am a goose.
Oh btw I got your pm and tried to reply, but your PM box is full! I live in upstate NY... it's so cold here!!
sorry I emptied it.
I'm in NY... it's not so bad here.
oh, and btw, I not actualy a goose.
And I'm not asian either.
I'm a, eruopean a-mer-i-can.
Well, maybe you would just call me white.
what a boring word 'white'.
