    not the strongest stuff i've see from gustavo. hopefully,there's more and it's better.

    i am with you on that.

    i guess he makes every piece by himself and its limited to one each i guess thats how it can be considered "couture" even though its something basic.

    well,it's to do with the level of craftsmanship. gustavo is quite synonymous for his emphasis on hand-making....

    just because it doesn't have jewels,opulent hand embroideries and isn't made of chiffon doesn't diminish the level of craftsmanship...it sometimes can be what is underneath as well.

    ralph rucci's couture is also the same, not having all these beads and over opulent things in his work. he doesn't like the idea, its association with couture


    could you offer some more insight on his work, scott?
    i found a thread of his here
    he seems to have some signatures. the experimental draping and also use of leather piping, from what i gathered on his website. descriptions mostly in french :ninja:
