This is the sort of thing I love, but it also feels very out of step with the current mood, as if they're one or two seasons too early for the return of glamour. But I suppose it's a jewellery ad, and they're always trying to appeal to more traditional tastes.

Fashion might be promoting rather sober clothing and concerning itself with #metoo, but we're only ever a few steps away from someone declaring Elizabeth Taylor as their source of inspiration, and suddenly things will be a riot of glamour as last seen on the set of Dynasty.
