mmm, it's ok, but not too original. That cardigan in the front picture, for example, is feautured in all of Helmut Lang's ads for this season (which in turn is something that Ann Demeulemeester did a few seasons ago). Thanks for the topic in any case :flower:

I kinda like that coat in the second picture. Doesn't do much for me, though.

I liek his work, it's fun and intresting, i like his use of metalics as well.

faust* i think the cardigan is pretty standard I don't think you can point it to one designer or another.

i have a vivienne westwood jumer that has a collar similar to that green sweater i like it but its nothing new really

It looks very comfortable, beautifully cut.

What are 'new' things anyway? The stuff that gets photographed in layouts but nothing any real man in his right mind would wear?

Yeah,I'd have to agree with what's been said by Faust. Seems a bit derivative of Bernhard Willhelm's style to me. But I agree too, that the pieces themselves look exceptionally made. Great cutting and great fabrics,I see here. I like the starbursts on that bomber jacket....that's really pretty.

The real clothes are greater than the pictures and it's not very expensive(compare with other new designers) :flower:

if you go to showstudio and click on austria fashion week...there are some pictures and blurbs about petar...

this is him in his flat in vienna...

"An industry-based focus is essential for a national fashion cultur e trying to establish itself at an international level and Petar explains th at many of his peers want to do internships with foreign labels. Not him tho ugh; with stockists like United Arrows, D-Mop and Beames in Japan, why would he?"

I like the 'kronen-zeitung' shirt. I agree, austrian fashion is improving and raising though I think there always were lots of very talented people - think helmut lang - esp at the uni, but it's very difficult to establish oneself in austria imo - most people here aren't exactly iterested in 'no-name' fashion. so I really like that he is not planning to go away :D

don't forget Carol Christian Poell...

When I was in Vienna a few years ago I definitely sensed a GREAT cultural divide between the young and the old generation, almost a peaceful civil war. I think that's how it was in Belgium when the likes of Raf and Lieve Van Gorp took up the fashion arms against the conservative. I cerainly think that we shall see more good designers coming out of Austria. They definitely have success of
