Hi guys,

This guy is selling this atrocious bag as an authentic item, he has a private feedback score(dodgy). Does anyone know whether Gucci did make such a bag?

Gucci

I don't think anybody would sell the right thing for so cheap
Isn't there anybody on Ebay who checks these auctions?

I really wonder why there are so many junk-auctions, I'd love to be an eBay-garbage man and clean them all up! :P

This auction looks really fake to me, the low price and the fact that the pictures are so unclear pretty much confirms that. I'd advise you not to bid on this auction.

I'm new here, by the way

Welcome BrothaG,

Trust me i had NO intention on bidding on this, i was just horrified at his atrocious(not the bag) feedback and thought i'd never seen this by Gucci

Ebay - dont care if things are Authentic or not, it's all about the Mean Green Dollars that they get :(

Thanks, OriginalGucciGirl! :flower:

I guess I misunderstood you on that one, sorry

Yeah, eBay doesn't seem to care whether they actually follow the rules or not - as long as they make money, it's sad :(

I'm glad there are a couple of good sellers left there though

Gucci actually had a collection of bags that is similar to the one shown on ebay. The whole bamboo thing is definitely something Gucci did a season or two ago. I remember very clearly as my sister has it. But I'm not entirely sure this one is real...

Half of eBay's profit comes from criminals...quite a large number of employees of its subsidiary, PayPal, quit over ethical issues....

The thing is Ebay would have been a great place to shop, if their attention and priority was to oust fake sellers.

I have also seen the new Girly pink dior handbags, starting as low as £25.00, take a look
??
and
? is this an obvious fake or what? :(

Thanx guys for your info

Those two (especially the second) look absolutely authentic to me.

I know plenty of reputable sellers who sell 100% authentic items, who start auctions off ridiculously low. It entices people to bid.

That's terrible.

At least ebay isn't as bad as sell.com, though! 99.9% of designer items on sell.com are fakes, and the sellers have NO shame at all and just outwardly proclaim it.

Really? How so?

(Despite how much I adore Dior, I'm not too savvy on detecting the fake bags... unless it's an obvious horrendous-looking one... )

i just find it fishy

in these cases all we need is a REAL to compare.

anyway this thread need to be merged. maybe you could start a new topic on these specific bags

The dior bags *look* real but you never know if the seller actually has the product. I have a strange feeling that some of these sellers break the bank buying these designer bags and then try to scam people over ebay to try to make some of the money back.

They do, but I've mostly only seen that happen with Vuitton bags. Plus, the seller of that Dior bag's feedback seems good!

Shahna - You have a good point here

Good feedback can be bad - normal people don't have 900+ feedback...

"normal" ?!?! :/

Seriously : Joe Bloggs doesn't have 900 feedback. Someone who sells hundreds of fakes does....
