Avantgarde July 2008 : Bette Franke & Viktor & Rolf

Well, as I like most things to do with Viktor and Rolf, I already have positive thoughts in my head before I even know what they're doing! Yes I'm bias.
I like this cover, but somehow I feel that the snap of Bette, Rolf and Viktor should have been 'moved' down a little bit more, the words running across the front is a little too close to Bette's main facial features for it to make me feel entirely appreciative of the cover- if that makes sense. Eh I think what I'm trying to say is that it just looks a little cramped at the top- not enough room to breeeathe! The colours are nice though- the dusty pinks, greys, nice whites... yes yes a nice cover indeed!

There are two other eds if I recall correctly. One is by Allard Honigh with a very ugly Sylvia (runner up from HNTM's first cycle with sleeked back hair and very bleached eyebrows and thats not even the worst part. The worst part is that it's a blatant and bad ripp off of I&V march 07 VP ed with Natasha and Freja. (Un)fortunately I can't find any pics.

*cringes a little bit* I think the pictures would have been much more appealing had the same makeup and hair (or something similar) which was done for each respective show was reapplied to the shoot- it just seems to be a bit carelessly done and bland- I'm not sure I like the expression on Sylvia's face either...

bette is great on that cover. she was perfectly positioned between viktor and rolf. and i love that dress...
