Mark Badgley and James Mischka are inspired by Buenos Aires socialites of the Fifties. That translates into ruffles, flounces and dressmaker details. “Party clothes,” says Mischka. There are equal parts long and short, fluid, or slender and sexy. Gently embellished floral gowns or solid-colored draped versions show up in a blaze of brights. And allover ruffles or layers of tulle add even more to the festive mood.
