Balenciaga F/W 14.15 Paris

I'm not really into the big rounded shoulder silouette. And it kind of feels like Wang has been running out of ideas. While the collection is actually quite nice, there are still too many elements I've already seen in the past.

I think this is a good collection, its just I've been spoiled for soo long with Nicolas Ghesquiere collections.

Doesn't this look like early 2000 Balenciaga.

Too many ideas, lack of development. Some good ones, some bad ones but ultimately it was a mess. I would give this colection a B because there is a lot that I like but a lot of ugly things too.

I like it. It's a nice reference to past Balenciaga shapes (both of Cristobal and Nicolas) but also provides something new. I was one of the people who didn't think Alex was right for this job but I have to say I've liked all his collections so far and this is no exception.

Not a fan of exposed zippers or the brass logo plates, and that doesn't leave much left to love. He took some risks this season, he needed to, but it's just an 'okay' collection to me.

this was a great range of looks and i loved it. I think people are still used to Nicolas that they will dismiss anything he puts out but this feels Balenciaga and those evening looks are grogeous

There are some good looks, and some bad. The part I loved the most was towards the end, especially Natasha's and Julia's outfits - I think he should continue developing the brand in that direction because it's his forte. Where he tried to reference Nicholas is where he failed the most IMO.

it's not very cohesive and good grief i wish designers would move away from this rounded silhouette….i'd like to see a return to something sharper and crisper.

Maybe people are being a little harsh  it's definitely not a perfect collection but the last looks are really beautiful. I like that he experimented with fabric combinations, some of the looks didn't work so well but props to him for doing it at all.

The collection was good despite the fact of not being entirely cohese. Those
embelished pullovers are beautifull but I think Alex needs to fly a little bit more in Balenciaga.

It's a beautiful collection. I can't believe this is getting bad reviews and Moschino was highly praised for being fun.LOL

AMAZING KNITS!!!! Some of the best knitwear i've seen this season!!!!
Although I still see some Ghesquiere, I see Wang's touch as well.
The zippers and some of the jackets remind me a bit of Opening Ceremony

Let me second what you said.

It was like a group of mini collections rather than one cohesive collection. With that said, aside from those zipper pieces - seemed so tacky and gimmicky - there were some really beautiful, interesting pieces. Those looks at the end were especially gorgeous. And that leather dress on Irina Kravchenko was probably my favorite piece of all.

Also, I don't think he's entirely comfortable at the helm just yet. Like he lacks confidence and the collects turn out soulless - almost.
