i wasnt sure if mr. brainwash was real or not. perhaps he was a bansky creation.

here are my photos of banksy's artwork in cambridge (my town) credit: me.
the cambridge artwork was destroyed a few days later by other taggers.

shepherd fairey says he thinks banksy does not put up his own artwork anymore. i agree.

Has anyone else seen Exit Through the Gift Shop? I didn't like it because I felt Thierry Guetta ("Mr. Brainwash") was a poseur through it all.

after initial shock upon seeing it, now i'm fairly sure MrBrainwash was a scam by Banksy himself (playing with the idea of reusing the used and still marking it as special and original and having ppl actually buying it). other than that the only thing that i didn't like was the fact that the movie has been promoted as one that goes behind the whole Banksy persona which is far from the truth and is about street art in general.

Banksy's work is quite nice. I like how he remains "anonymous" even though people know his real name.

I am still not clear on the message Banksy sends with his "graffiti" but they aren't eyesores.
