80's styling meets Baroque in a fabulous rock chick look, gold, major emellishment, patterns galore, leopard print, tassles, velvet, brocade all make these clothes have a french luxe meets rock&rock vibe about them

I loved the Balmain collection. I think this is a trend that looks really good styled in a kind of rock chick way, but I don't like it when it's styled in a more feminine way. I don't think it will be a big trend this autumn/winter but one that will fit in with other big trends.

wow - the Balmian is so lush and gorgeous. I love that they have gone all out on the fabrics, yet have retained a lot of their innate signature cut.

I love the fact (particularly with the Balmain) that the styles are quite simple and the fabrics are the main statement. It will be interesting to see if and how this translates to High Street looks which obviously will have to use cheaper fabric options.

I like the look but I really don't feel like it's a new look at all. Balenciaga S/S '06 anyone??

I love the vibe it's giving off.

The pieces could go with other styles too.
