^Agreed. I don't think this can really be considered a trend for F/W 10.11. We've seen this on runways for seasons now. I would venture to say it's almost a new way of dressing as opposed to a trend. I don't see it going anywhere quickly and it's been around for a while now.

this is definitely a trend...
it may have shown up on the runways here and there
but throwing on a leather belt over outerwear is becoming more and more prominent in terms of styling

it's become more of a dominant theme this season

i don't think any trend is ever completely new...
