Best Lip Stain?

^ I don't think so. I think it greatly depends on the amount which you put on.

Nars lip laquers make great lip stain if you lightly dab then on. It stays on longer than lipsticks and looks totally natural/

I just bought the Lorac one in Sheer Emotion. It stains my fingers afterwards but it ends up looking pretty goood. only problem is that I don't want to use too much so it doesn't really stay on too well.

I have two of the Revlon lip stains. It doesn't really stain, and it feels sticky if you layer it.

Honestly I just make a stain out of any lipstick. My favorite is Chanel Aqualumiere in a pinkish red. I just put some on and rub it in with my finger. It looks really natural and hot.

I just bought the Body Shop lip and cheek stain. It's much cheaper than the Revlon ones and they're only for either lip or cheek. I honestly thought Revlon would be cheaper. Anyway, I really do like the Body Shop one, it's very natural and doesn't feel sticky. It looks great. I've yet to try it on my cheeks but I'm sure that'll look good too.

It's a beautiful shade of red that goes really well with my colouring. I also want to try Blood Orange, despite the fact that it will make me look terrible.

Which product would you recommend to provide the lightly tinted natural "just bitten" look for lips? Though... a highly pigmented red is tempting too w/ the recent trends.

currently, im addicted to L'occitane's tinted shea butter balm in red currant, it gives the results depending on how much you layer it (of course) a light layer gives you the best natural rosy lips, which looks amazing under a clear gloss!
it works nicely as a cheek stain too (for drier skins)

I bought the Revlon Just Bitten in Blood Orange tonight. I LOVE the color, but yeah.. it doesn't last long at all :/ Why is it so hard to find a good stain? I've tried so many different brands...

Stila - goes on wierd, like parts of my lip get darker than others, no matter how much I blend. Felt tip dries out.

Benetint - too light and doesn't stay on very long

MAC - this is the best so far - it really does stain your lips.. problem is it also makes mine slightly numb and a bit tingly

Sephora - it's got a "stain" on one end and a gloss on the other, but the stain is useless, it's like a thin, runny gloss that does very little.


I'm looking into the Bobbi Brown, YSL, and Artdeco - hopefully I'll find one I love.

Angel, what is the MAC lipstain? I didn't know they had one! I'm on their website now...but I can't find it.

I went to the MAC site too and I can't find it either. I did buy it about a year or so ago.

maybe it's been discontinued? That would be typical - the one stain I've found that works, and they don't make it anymore, lol.

I just got this in the mail - bought it on ebay: Mark by Avon Kissink. There's still some available on ebay, from the same seller - shipping was SUPERfast, I won the item on Sept 17th, and I got it in the mail today, the 20th! Not too shabby at all. I bought two, one in Red Siren and one in Berry Bitten, cos I just had a feeling I was going to like them, and you know what? I do They're just like a big fat crayola marker, and they go on just like one too. Looks nice on its own or even better with gloss on top, and has stayed on quite well

You eat it so I don't think it's dangerous.....but I'm too chicken. Let me know how it goes if you try it!
