Yeah, the Devita pump is annoying, but it never broke or anything for me, just wastes a little product. But it's only $14 for a decent sized tube, so it doesn't bother me that much.
 
Devita actually comes in a 2.5 oz tube now so the pump is not a problem for me.
Pratima Neem Rose is a very nice SS and goes on sheer and not as wet looking as Devita for me when I rub it in, but their customer service is deplorable.:(
 
Cristina777 I totally hear ya... I tried this and that but im not very happy with any of 'em...
I have a very pale, mix but sensitive skin...Anybody knows a brand you can use in your face too (not only body...) that its not too aggressive with the skin or too oily but total blocks the sun still?
 
So, I was at Wholefoods the other day, and although I didn't expect to find anything, I went to the cosmetics section to look for a natural face sunscreen.
I tried how few of them feel, and decided to take one - it is Kimberly Sayer - Ultra Light Face Moisturiser with SPF 25.
It feels amazing, you just put a little bit on your face, it's not greasy at all and I like the fact that it gets right inside the skin and if you wish, you can put any other cream/make up right on it.

I had this too, and hated it. It made my face unbelievably shiny and never sank in. Every sunscreen has a little bit of shine, but I literally looked like I had rubbed my face in lemon-scented grease. I have dry skin, too, so it was even stranger!

On their website, I found out they have two types of sunscreen, one for dry skin and one for combination/oily skin - this one is in a tube with pump. The one for combination skin I got, although I have more of a dry skin myself. I never tried the other one, I don't even think I saw it in the store.

I don't have a feeling it would dry out my skin as other natural products. And if I feel like I need some more moisture in my skin, I can put my other stuff which doesn't have spf. Perfect find for me, exactly what I was looking for.
 
I'm allergic to PABA the most common ingredient in sunscreen. Although I have black hair, brown eyes and skin that I tanned when I was 12-15 years old. I now use Burt's Bees sunscreen as it uses ZINC and does not break out my ultra sensitive skin. It does not sting or give me a rash, like almost everything in the world does to me!

:D Well everyone is different, that's why there are so many products out there! I'm glad it works for you. I just wish I didn't have the big tube sitting around, and I feel too bad to throw it out!
 
Probably zinc based sunscreens like Devita, Pratima and Coppertone Sensitive. I like Bioderma Photomax.
 
i would say no?! :(

today i'm wearing Avene Very High Protection Emulsion SPF 50 for the first time... but i don't get it: they say i have to use 7 drops (push seven times) for face and neck... i put 2 drops on my face and it was already A LOT - almost too much?!?!?

KamenKutak, with Avene sunscreens I can also only apply 2-3 "drops" to my face and reapplication is really difficult. The good thing about Avene is that I never tanned with it...Something that I cannot say about LRP sunscreens.

I recently calculated the average amount of sunscreen that I used on face daily. I used on average 0.8 mL/day. I've read that we should apply 1.25 mL on face. Scary! I thought that I was already using too much and I reapply sunscreen when I am outdoors!

why not? I don't want to have problems with cakey spf cream, i wanted to get a regular moisturizer with spf
otherwise i'm afraid i will break out
 
I don't think makeup, primers or moisturizers with spf offer the best filters and coverage, like Cristina777 says, you need ~1.2 ml which is a lot and that's also the correct amount dermatologists recommend to get decent protection.
Is also vital that the sunscreen is stable and has UVA protection, makeup and such don't offer anything near full spectrum protection, at best it's titanium dioxide filters that are mediocre at protecting skin. :ninja:
