Bettina Weitze

Seventeen year old Bettina Weitze has the potential to be the "next big thing." She has the type of extremely elongated, extremely narrow body, and exaggeratedly long neck that are absolutely ideal for fashion (particularly haute couture) but tremendously rare.She's a "fashion giraffe," in the tradition of haute couture model Liisa Winkler. Bettina also has a very beautiful face to go along with the "fashion giraffe" body. All the raw material is there, but it remains to be seen what she will do with it.

Bettina has only recently arrived in New York after being a finalist in the Elite Model Competition in Germany. She grew up in Freiburg, Germany, where she spent most of her youth playing sports. Bettina played for the national volleyball team, and was ranked in the top 10 in her age group. She was in training for the Sydney 2000 Olympics, but due to the grueling training and hours, decided to explore other possibilities. She sent her photos to the modeling competition, and the rest, of course, is history.

In her first season, Teutonic temptress Bettina Weitze won the heart of Marc Jacobs, who used her for his eponymous show in New York and Louis Vuitton in Paris. Bettina also has a fan in Ellen von Unwerth, who has shot her numerous times, most memorably for the Miss Sixty campaign. With a recent ad for Comme des Garçons and three appearances in Italian Vogue, this German teen has a passport to fame.

Well, i don't think company management has been doing well lately. I don't know if they are even still in buisness. She might just be looking for a new agency in New York and hasn't found one yet. I hope she does though!
