Bevza F/W 2024.25 New York

Everything that involves a cowl neckline should have been omitted. The funnel/creeper necks are pushing it too, but if the collar height itself was folding down it wouldn't look so bad. The cowls are just not executed well, and when it kind of works, it's in a weirdly coloured satin that isn't anywhere else in the collection. Plus, that satin dress is still very dated looking. 30s/40s cowl dress 101 kind of silhouette.

Beside these flaws, it is a pretty nice collection. Nothing wow worthy and very contemporary Scandinavian and Danish in look. It is a nice clean break too from all the other NYFW showings too. Still needs a lot of work, and perhaps F/W isn't their strong suit when it comes to seasons.

I normally love her unique vision of elegant minimalism (Eastern European designers in general offer a different perspective, which I'm a huge fan of), but her last couple of shows are just lacking it. I think she's playing it too safe or perhaps it just seems uninspired.
