The masks disturbs me. He(?) might have used so people can focus on the clothes and not the models, but in fact, i think it's done the opposite. I can only see the masks and not the clothing. (And for the little i see, i don't like, except for the colours, i love the whole charcoal-black-olivegreen).

they're not masks...they're actually the suspended puppets which bears their label's name.

personally,I don't think it detracts from the clothes at all. In fact,I think having no faces and bodies actually allows one to focus on the clothes.

well,i do think that perhaps they probably could have done without the prints on them but otherwise,it doesn't deter my interest from the work.

This is really good. Much much better than those Number Nine and Junya shows which are really getting more and more repeatitive and disappointing season by season. There are some highly wearable and still amazing stuff (some of the shirts and that belted long coat in particular) in this show. I think they are very smart with the presentation. It helps to creat a really strong visual impact for the clothes.

Is it cheaper than using modelsin flesh?

^probably. but i don't think that's the point though. as haoshcn,said,i think it's more to do with a creating visual prevolance. and these kinds of presentations,for me,always,always leave a more lasting impression.

^best of both worlds i suppose. isnt as costy to hire models and create a interesting presentation for the clothes.

i like the overall presentation. the panoramic view is quite powerful, both as an art installation on our society/fashion(?) and a fashion show.

edit: i just realize that blaak is suppose to show on tuesday. why all of a sudden an early showing?

I dunno about the states(seven did carry their work for a while when they were doing women's)but in london at Pineal Eye and Kokon To Zai. I think Maria Luisa carries it also in her men's or Mixte shop. not 100% certain. Little Red Riding Hood in Berlin also.

they probably changed up,MUXU. was it on the initial calendar? sometimes designers will do that before the final schedule is officiated.

Quite cool. The masks are uncalled for but some of the big coats are really beautiful.
