Anne Damgaards haute couture for the angels of death.
Inspired by George Crumbs ”Black Angels” – his magical, electronically enhanced string quartet..

Her creations are shapeshifting..with the different medias - sound, light, video projections..

The dresses were suspended and therefore in slowly rotation.. and ever-changing with the light constantly hitting the dresses differently. very poetic unfortunately my cameras batteries died on me before I really got started.. so I have no pictures of the most spectacular of the dresses :(

oh so pretty! i hate the camera battery thing :doh: it's happened to me numerous times and i always kick myself, but never learn :lol:

^ Just what I was thinking. Thanks for the incredible inspiration, Hanne. I imagine light playing on a coral reef with different colors of seaweed moving back and forth in the tidal waves. Lovely! Here is the link to her website. And you can hear the music being played by the violinists on her site.

The Exhibition Anne Damgaard 1997-2004 . Specialty: Draped dresses, created on the basis of her own draping methods. Her design takes its inspiration from the art world, architecture and fashion history and has a feminine and sculptural expression. Anne Damgaard will accept orders for her made-to-measure, awardwinning draped dresses.

the design in the dresses has a lot of depth..in the layers and transparency
looks very light and unusual
 
those dresses are gorgeous .. so many different layers .. i would love to see them in person .. im guessing pictures dont do them full justice .. but they look beautiful
