Blisters ??

I definitely have a blister problem. I keep a little bundle of bandaids in my handbag at all times. Socks can really help if they're caused by too much friction on bare skin, but in the summer, who really wants to strap on a pair of socks all the time?

ooh im so glad this thread exists...i usually keep bandaids with me when i wear certain shoes...ive become spoiled by my reef flip flops cause i dont have to worry about it...

when i wear my converse sneakers without socks its the worst!

Every shoe I have has given me bad blisters and cuts. Not only on the back of the foot but on the toes and the sides and tops of the feet. For months I had these really dark skin discoloration because of the scarring. Ugh!

My boyfriend does not understand at all why I wear my shoes, especially new ones when they're cutting my feet. Usually I dont have any bandaids and at work I end up using tape to cover the area

Gleam, thanks for the tip. I will have to look for those and have them handy at all times.

Currently I have a nice little cut above my middle toe, which I took to the beach and dipped in sea water and sand, and it seems to be doing better.

I just got a pair of new Miu Miu shoes and they hurt like a mo fo and now I have blisters with bandaids over them and I am just going to wear UGGs for a week or so.

In Japan, they have special bandaids that form to your blister and are extra thick that can help pad the blister and prevent it from hurting so much. I had these chocolate brown suede boots that hurt like a mo fo, but it was bearable because of those.

I have horrible blisters from dance. And then I wear shoes that rub against them and I get the worst blisters. But I use Dr. Scholls blister pads, they sound like the ones that purexelegance talked about using in Japan. But these come in like packs of 4, and they help a lot but I need to tape them down sometimes because they come off.

I get blisters sometimes to. I use a shoe stretcher for all new shoes and that has helped A LOT.

I always got bad blisters with high-heeled sandals until I bought a product called Body Glide. You can get it in sport shops. As far as I know it is only available in the US and Canada.

Band-Aid came out with a new collection of bandaids espeically those who get blisters from their heels and flats etc. I bought a pack and it helps heal the blister while cushioning and protecting them. They're probably similar to those that purexelegance was talking about.

I found my Keds giving me blisters in the beginning...but i guess i managed to break into them..cos i don't get them anymore..or at least I get a lot less scraping in the heal and toe area.

For pointy toe leather/non leather closed toe shoes...my friend read that you can wax the inside of the shoe first before putting them on. Apparently, she said it works..I haven't tried yet though. Just use a candle or sth and smooth it on the inside of your shoe where you usually get blisters.

yeah, my feet are pretty much scarred at the moment :(
i always get blisters, no matter what shoes i wear (except my one pair of trainers, they don't bother me at all... oh, and my furry boots, obviously), which i think (hope) is down to the fact that my feet are small and narrow, so shoes rarely fit properly. plus, i can't afford expensive and well-made shoes, so mine are probably cheap and nasty when it comes to health & safety.

i've noticed a lot of people saying "wear sticking plasters", but no. don't. wear blister plasters! they're just completely better. you can't deny it :P

best brand is compeed, but scholl do some and so do boots. :)

wow, so glad i'm not the only one with this problem. i sometimes think my feet are just horribly disfigured and that's the reason i keep getting these painful things on my feet! i was thinking i was doomed to a lifetime of flipflops and danskos! (not that those don't have their appropriate place in my wardrobe) anyway, just tried those dr scholl's blister packs or whatever they're called - so far, so good! wore those until i was able to break in a pair of patent flats. so far i've just used them on my heels - has anyone tried using them at the front of your feet? (under the vamp, and on the edge of your feet - sometimes i get sore there as well)

i bought new shoes yesterday and i've got horrible painful blisters. I'm gonna wear them around the house with bandaids today to try and break them in.

ooh i get these all the time
esp when i wear sandals, usualy any type of sandals they just kell me on the toes.. and it's actually part of the reason i wear sneakers and flats all the time
i dunno i guess it has to do with the way i walk or something, cause my sis and i wear the same shoes sometimes and i get the worst blisters but she doesnt!

You guys need Foot Petals shoe pads. You can get them at target. They stick to the back of your shoe and prevent slipping and blisters. They also have foot pads for cushioning the ball of your foot in heels. I love these!

Amalie thanks, i think i might give them a try..
but the big prob is that i dont think they make pads for toes :D

You can stick them on the top insides of shoes too. They work great!

Those things saved my feet's life. I don't get blisters that often (probably because I don't wear heels that often). But I wore a pair of heels that didn't fit right. They killed my feet the first night, and I had 3 more nights where I HAD to wear heels, so I used the bandaid blister blocker things. I already did a lot of damage to my feet, so I was in a lot of pain (it even hurt to walk in regular shoes), but I could tell that they helped. ;)

I was in vegas when this happened. I first saw it at one of the casino gift shops. I also saw it at Walgreens right after. I haven't looked for any since. But I'm sure if Walgreens has it, Target and most other drugstores would have it as well.

I get blisters whenever I wear ballet flats. Doesn't matter who makes them or how much they cost, they always give me blisters. Usually really nasty ones that start bleeding within an hour of walking around.

Scholl make these little jelly like things you can stick inside the back of your flats or heels, and they're clear, so not that easily seen. I've found they work well with heels or flats.
