Bollywood Star Styles

Sigh. I know! I can't believe I used to think he was such a hottie 6 years ago - when Kal Ho Naa Ho came out. And I loved Salaam Namaste w/him and Preity - I thought they were just the cutest together (esp. on that Koffee with Karan episode) - had such an adorable friendship. Ever since he got with Kareena, I dunno...his looks and personality have gone downhill.

Well considering he is edging on 40 I don't think his looks have gone majorly downhill, mind you I think his styling is god awful.
He was quite interesting on the other episode of Koffee with Karan that he did with his sister Soha.

Also, I don't know if anyone agrees with me, but doesn't Kareena looks like an Indian version of Paris Hilton?

In a way, yes and no. I think it's the general facial shape that does it for me.

Priyanka Chopra's foot has been immortalized at the Ferragamo Museum in Florence! Priyanka became the first Indian actress to have her foot cast in the Museum dedicated to legendary shoemaker Salvatore Ferragamo - who is considered one of the greatest shoe designers in the world.

The only other Indian woman to have her foot cast is Maharani Indira Devi of Cooch Behar. There are also a slew of Hollywood stars that have been invited to have their foot impressions left at the prestigious museum, like Drew Barrymore. And how's this for star power? Priyanka Chopra's imprint will be next to legendary Hollywood film stars Marilyn Monroe and Sophia Loren. That is some pretty amazing company!

While visiting the museum, Priyanka was given the VIP treatment. The wonderful experience started off with a welcome lunch, hosted by the Ferragamo family. Then she went for a tour of the Ferragamo Museum. Then it was time to get down to business. Priyanka's feet were measured for wooden lasts, which is an essential part of the Ferragamo shoemaking process. Next, she worked with designers to develop a shoe customized to her taste. Finally, Priyanka Chopra was fitted for a selection of clothes from the ready-to-wear collection for her photo shoot in Ferragamo's XV century property with the prestigious L'Officiel India.

Priyanka was truly honoured to be invited. She had this to say about the experience, "I feel proud and honoured to share space with this list of illustrious women. When Leonardo Ferragamo took me on a tour of the Salvatore Ferragamo Shoe Museum, and through the display of the Shoe Lasts' of these amazing women, it was a special moment for me. I'm touched that the Ferragamo family chose me, after the Maharani of Cooch Behar."

Very cool! She must have been super excited. Priyanka was wearing an Abu-Sandeep creation in the above pics. Here's a link to a mid-day article.
There's a scan from her L'Officiel India photoshoot.

I liked what she wore-there are some cases where I prefer some of the starlets to wear traditional Indian wear because, in all honesty, it looks better on them. Priyanka is one of them, along with Kareena and Karishma.

Priyanka Chopra @ L'Officiel India event - she's on the cover of their April 2009 issue.

As summer draws near the days get hotter, and so do our very own folks in B-Town. Fashion magazine Verve shows us how to take a refreshing break with an issue that ushers in spring 'n style this summer.

In store for readers this season is the actress sultry as sin, Asin, as the cover girl who brings a whiff of the beautiful south to tinsel town. After her scintillating award-winning Bollywood debut in the record breaking film Ghajini, she is being touted as the flavour du jour and has been inviting comparisons with the legendary Sridevi. Read about her no-holds-bar spirit and her chameleon-like ability to adapt to different situations and roles in 'The Enchantress of Kochi'.

Verve's 2009 Fresh List continues the tradition of toasting budding talent from the arts, entertainment and fashion. This year featuring an eclectic bunch that includes actress Frieda Pinto, saxophonist Rhys Sebastian, singer Alisha Bath, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, designer Sinjini Mukherjee and many more. Together, they are young, hip, unstoppable and raring to go.

Also, in this issue, Zoya Akhtar tells us how she manages to hold her own as a young woman director in Bollywood. All this and much more in the March issue of Verve.

Deepika Padukone walks the ramp for Tarun Tahiliani

That dress is not very flattering. Do not care for it.

That is the nice way of putting it, the dress is god awful and makes her look larger than she actually is.

^ hehehe

This is too cute - I just had to post:

‘Slumdog Millionaire’ child actors, Rubina and Azharuddin walked the runway for designers Ashima and Leena at Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week.

They've been getting all this attention post-Slumdog. I do hope they're able to adjust after all this hype dies down.

Loving the pics of Priyanka @ 1209 and 1210..I love the hair, it actually works really well on her. Thanks for posting stateofbliss :)
Salvatore Ferragmo was the Mahrani of Cooch of Behar's (Gayatri Devi) favourite shoe designer. She was a stunner in her prime and was voted by Vogue for being one of the most beautiful faces of her time. I think Priyanka was saying how honoured she felt being chosen as the second Indian after Gayatri Devi to have her foot cast. Guys if you dont know who she is...read up on her! She was the epitomy of Indian glamour and I dont think anyone has taken her place yet ;)

^ Oh I totally agree about Gayatri Devi. I think Ashutosh Gowarikar (director of Lagaan, Jodhaa Akbar) was supposed to do a movie about the life of Gayatri Devi - I was looking forward to it, but I guess it fell through b/c I haven't seen/heard anything in awhile.

She's been looking super recently but her hair...a bit too 90s.

Her hair is definitely too 90's, but that is by western standards. In India the hair in the 90's was much worse than this.

My problem is with her make up, I might be overly critical, but I really hate when people use make up that is too light. Priyanka's face doesn't match the complexion of the rest of her body.
