Boots for NARROW ankles?

I have normal-to-biggish calves and the world's NARROWEST ankles!

This means that I have a very very hard time finding knee-high boots (and just any boots in general) that don't look like drainpipes (non-stretchy boots) on my legs OR get all scrunchity around my ankles (stretchy pull on boots).

I HAVE found boots in the past that form-fitted and I really think they look GREAT when they do. But I don't know what it is about them that makes them so perfect so I can't seem to find boots like this again!! Ideas??

Hm, I have narrow heels and have a very difficult time finding any shoe that will fit. I've had good luck with Via Spiga boots; you might want to check them out, although sadly many of their styles are hideous It sounds like our foot problems are a little different though.

if i were you, i would just take it to a very good cobbler and have him alter it.
