I have the holster in the nubuck...it IS a bit wide for everyday if that is what you plan to use it for, unless you carry around a huge amount of stuff. I use it on weekends when I need more things with me. I am eyeing the trigger in mahogany as well, for an everyday bag. This new color is gorgeous!!! Does anyone know when the Botkier site will be updated? It seems a bit late, as a lot of other designers websites are already carring fall....

Thanks Mousie! I do love the fall colors....

I really think the clyde is gorgeous, but it is a large bag, and I just don't need one that big for everyday. I am thinking about it for trips or weekends....I know a lot of people have been saying they prefer the Balenciaga and other more expensive bags, but for mid-end bags I think these are great. I am not always willing to wait months to save up the $ for a Balenciaga! I am sure some of you are with me on the joys of instant (or at least quicker) gratification!!!

that deep purple is so gorgeous.. love it! and the convertible is a great shape... i wish i could click on it to see more. i hate their website :yuk:

i just gave my black trigger w/the silver hardware to my cousin and ordered a new one with the gunmetal hardware for myself instead, from active endeavors. i found a 20% off coupon online, so it came out to $488 shipped! not bad.

What a great deal with the coupon! $488 is not bad at all! I just ordered the luxe trigger in the mahogany....I LOVE the antiqued copper zippers and hardware! Unfortunately, this color is sold out from active endaevors - otherwise that coupon would have been fantastic! Anyone know why you can only click on the trigger on the Botkier website? I would love to look more closely at some of the other styles...

Will definately post when it arrives...expecting it in the next few days, it has already shipped out. Just keep in mind, I have had several friends who have been caught in the backorder trap when the frenzy for new colors starts. The convertable is a great shape...I would love to see more angles on it!!!

crepebacksatin...received my trigger bag in mahogany! I LOVE it!!! The copper hardware is so distintive and looks great!!! The mahogany color is really beautiful, not your typical "brown" for fall, but a rich, buttery soft color. The leather is gorgeous also, although I am certain people will reply it pales in comparison to a Balenciaga. Very happy with this purchase....feel like I got my $ worth for the price!!!!

glad to hear that you love it! i am slightly jealous though, and totally feel the need to get something in that color now. the hardware is really what does it for me. enjoy it, i know you will!

i got my black trigger with the gunmetal hardware in on monday and i am in love, as well!:heart::heart: it looks so rich and lovely with the darker zips, etc. and the smell of the leather... heavenly! botkier totally got it right for fall.

personally, i don't even like the shape of the balenciaga. i think the trigger is way cooler! i have a weird thing about bags with handles that you can carry with a shoulder strap.. i hate the look. plus, the leather is too shiny imo :innocent:

Congrats on your bags crepebacksatin and lefebvre177!!

My Mum loves my Botkier Trigger and has been asking me about where she can get a brown one. She is worried that the bag is too young for her! Mum is 63 but certainly doesn't look it. She mainly gets about in jeans, ballet flats and knits. Is she too old? I don't think so but I'm bias :)

    Thanks!!

Mousie, I don't think your mother would WANT to carry the bag if she was too old for it. If it makes her feel good and she loves it, tell her to go for it!!!! A good place to purchase for her might be directly from the Botkier website...I know they do ship just about everywhere!!! www.botkier.com will link her to it, plus they have a lot of other styles if she wants to look at those and see if she likes anything. I wouldn't hesitate a second to recommend the mahogany...it is truly lovely!!!

I think the brown leather would tone down the "youngness" of the Trigger bag....

    just my opinion though.

    Botkier bag- new color

Has anyone seen this new Botkier color for fall? It's not pictured on botkier.com but just popped up today on Active Endeavors. I really liked the Steel color and before that ice blue... This one looks similar to those colors but a little more subdued and grown up. I'm afraid it looks green in person though, since it's called olive. Anyone seen this in person?
    I'm hoping the attachments work...
    thanks!

Hi! I have seen this bag, a friend owns it, and it is definately more green. It is a more subtle color that the fatigue also out this fall. If you want to stick to blues, check out the twilight. It is a darker but sensational blue!

Hi, i was looking for pics of trigger in mahogany and gunmetal and came to this site. i envy people who already own Botkier!! :p i've been contemplating which color i should get.. mahogany seems quite popular here, has anybody seen gunmetal? i think i like that not-so-usual black. I haven't seen either color.. in fact, i haven't seen any Botkier ever.. until i get one hopefully soon ;) which would you pick?? Thanks!

lefebvre177, your friend's bag- the olive botkier -do you like the color in person? I am still eyeing it and think I might like it even though it's green...
Kiana, I think the gun metal is pretty much just black... but I know there's at least one person here who owns that color.
I saw the stirrup in metallic chestnut at Neiman's and it looks stunning in person. Love the way it hangs and it's not as small as it looks in pictures. I need something really large though, even the medium trigger won't do for me!

Hi ladybird, thanks for the reply. i'm leaning towards mahogany now...
btw, do you consider trigger classic, or at least neo-classic? i personally think i will be able to carry it 10 years from now, coz it's basic, functional and of good quality. but i'm not sure.. i'm afraid maybe i'm just being biased :) i'd want to invest in something that'll last for a long time, yet as functional as trigger. any alternatives? any opinions? Thanks!

kiana - the gunmetal looks like washed-out black to me... but some people love it... so ya know, whatever you like! :p i do think that the trigger is a classic - or at least it will be for me - because it's beautiful, functional, well-made, not over-the-top. i will be carrying mine for a good long time.

lady - have you tried the large trigger? you'd be surprised as to what you can fit inside.

I think the Trigger is pretty classic. It still looks great to me 2 years later, which is more than I can say for a lot of bags out there.
I love the large trigger- I like big bags. Plus I think it looks more slouchy and impressive when you wear it, and has a slightly different look than the smaller ones which are starting to pop up everywhere these days. After seeing the stirrup though, I am having second thoughts cause it is super cute! Maybe I need to transition into smaller bags!! Does anyone own a stirrup? Do you find it holds enough stuff... I carry a large wallet, big makeup bag, cell phone, etc.
