Bottega Veneta F/W 2019.20 : Adut Akech & Anna Ewers by Tyrone Lebon

The shots that don’t look like Loewe look like Céline.

I popped into the store on Rodeo the other day when I was in the neighborhood...was kind of uneventful.

Phoebe’s work at Céline had a special magic and warmth. Her clothes were very compelling. Her imitators can’t match that.

This new Bottega is very much that...everything is so expected looking...the whole aesthetic reads like a textbook.
The first time I went to a new BV store, I was surprised by how similar it looked to Celine. But yes, it wasn’t really warm or inviting.
It still feels like an uptight luxury store. But I loved the clothes tho.

The first shot we got of Adut with the car is the strongest ad image I've seen in SEASONS. I am now officially in love with this campaign.

Absolutely. Both of her shots with the gold hanging car are incredible. They're so powerful, they could lead the campaign on their own. The pastel colors shots are smooth and more on the dreamy side. I'd say it balances the whole thing, but given the car shots, they seem to be somewhat unecessary. A great and audacious campaign.
