Have any of you ever been to a Japanese brand shop (lindependently owned luxury goods stores...somewhat like consignment shops I guess) ??

I've been looking at the websites for a lot of them, and they carry some rare stuff at good (yet sometimes really high) prices.

I'm thinking about ordering some stuff from a few of them.

One had this denim Dior messenger bag I wanted, but it sold really fast :/

I know a few of these private import stores. In my experience their prices are always a bit on the high side, and it's most likely that you can find whatever item that you're looking for at better prices elsewhere on the net.

I guess so, but a lot of the things I look at from some brand shops are hard-to-find, or items from previous seasons that can't be found anywhere.

A lot of brand shops sell Hermes bags (around $11-12,000) if anyone wants to buy one, LOL...

Chance is a nice one.

I'm sure you can find a lot more by going to google and typing in "brand shop"

Seems cool- the ones i checked mostly sell bags and stuff- or so it seemed, I'm rather clumsy when it comes to navigating sites in Japanese, lol.

I know a few online stores that cater specifically to men:

I've never actually attempted buying from any of them, because as I've said, their prices aren't exactly that competitive IMO, and I can actually find better selection (and prices) on eBay or even yoox.co.uk. Another problem is that, should you decide to buy something from them, chances are they won't understand a word of English and they expect all correspondence to be carried out in Japanese (since they mainly cater to domestic orders). That would prove enormously difficult for any foreigner not familiar with the language to place an order, especially if they don't take credit cards.

What's the Dior bag like? From my experience their logoed messengers, both new and second-hand ones, are widely available on eBay. Dior does wholesale with their accessories so a good chunk of the stuff you see there is actually authentic. Those from the Dior Homme line are a bit harder to find, though they do pop up once in a while on eBay, such as this one:

this may be off-topic, but there are lotsa shops in Japan that sell second-hand bags for cheap. lots of girls in japan get rich boyfriends who buy them stuff, and when they break up, they just sell all of it to these shops.

I saw a canvas Hermes bag for about $300 CAD

Sorry don't know any websites though
