NEW YORK — Home let alone a place near and dear can been an elusive proposition for any professional who spends much of the year traveling and for a model in the beginnings of her career it can be nigh impossible. Missouri native Briley Jones recently moved to New York following an inaugural runway season in which she notably walked for Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta. In the buildup to Fashion Week in New York this winter Briley spent a lot time in Chelsea on castings during which time she came to call a coffee shop on the corner of West 25 Street and 9 Avenue a favorite. “Any time I would get lost I would try to find 9th and 25th and I knew, OK, that’s home base for me,” explains Briley about how she discovered Pushcart Coffee, a place where the coffee and wifi are strong and the low-key atmosphere is just right to settle any model’s racing mind. Although she now lives uptown, Briley makes a point to stop to order an iced Americano for an extra kick any time she has a job in the neighborhood.
This is the first installment of what will be a weekly series called “Next Visits” in which models, talent, and more take viewers to their favorite places.
