I always have trouble finding bronzers that are the right color for my Asian skintone. When I get tan, my color is more of a reddish/golden brown and many makeup companies create their bronzers to work with Caucasian skintones. Also, so many bronzers are also overly glittery. I can deal with slight shimmer but too much looks fake. I've already tried Nars Casino and Laguna, Benefit Hoola, Cargo's bronzers, as well as MAC Bronze. Any other suggestions.

I read in a magazine that asian complexions should choose iridescent gold powders, 'warm' shades and avoid dark/pinkish/orangish tones

the magazine suggested Revlon limited edition bare bronze face powder and L'oreal glam bronze bronzing powder in seductive sunset. they're both cheap, so i think it's worth a try.

I'm using Almay's all over bronzer and Wet 'n' Wild Acapulco glow..which really does nothing but highlight.

hope that helps and good luck!

I have read that Bobbi Brown is good for asian skintone. It doesn't contain any shimmers though.

No to look sun kissed as if u do it naturally it might turn out to be harmful...Bronzer adds a warmth to the complexion and makes you look healthy.
A brozer applied in the right manner and at right places accentuates the contours of the face making them defined in a subtle way.
The beach look can be only achieved with bronzers without going on a beach.

and not only going with trend but i prefer matte and semi matte bronzers over my clients and then a shimmery blush on top of it.
Shimmery bronzers just look so fauz pas..

Yes, that's nice. Friend of mine (she's Asian), tried it. I also like Lancaster product. It's not sticky.

I've experimented with a bunch of bronzers before I found one that works the best for me, which Warmth by Bare Escentuals. I really like it because you can layer it on for different effects. I did also like Cargo and Stila, but the Warmth has won me over.

Dior products tend to have a lot of yellow undertones. and they recently released a line of matte Bronzers with SPF 20.

besides that, Guerlain Terracotta has a bronzer for men which is also matte (ish).

I'm asian and I use Mac loose powder in "golden bronze", its the loose one tho, not the one in a compact and its amazing, it makes me look glowy.

Wow, this thread is from 2006!

I used to use T. Leclerc's bronze powder; it's a bit on the shimmery side though but when I'm very tan it matches well and really reflects the light so you can't see blemishes.

I also have Stila's Bronze Trio, which has 3 different shades of bronze with a smaller amount of shimmer and the powder is finer. It can be used for the eyes or face as a highlighter.
