Such a beautiful collection! It's so poetic and romantic, the prints are beautiful and I love the styling, the scarf placing especially. So, so lovely.
Also, are the models wearing blankets with their initials in the finale? I guess Cara's one with CJD would stand for Cara Jocelyn Delevingne.
The hand-painted coats and bags are just awful, bought from a charity shop and painted for a college art project awful, and there are way too many scarves, tucked into belts and reaching to the knee, probably to distract from the rather dull clothing.
I was blown away with this collection, it's totally different approached of Burberry. How far trench coat can go and this is a proof it can go beyond and transcend.
It may not be the best collection ever, but I think it's good that he branched out; shook things up a bit. I agree that it feels very spring-like, and yet there is a "lightness of being" here that's refreshing.
the good styling & the diverse cast makes this collection more interesting than it really is.
if you take out one item and mix it with something not Burberry it looks immediately dated and meh.
Probably one of Christopher Baileys best collection for Burberry Prorsum in a long while. I am glad he is finally going back to being interesting again. I don't mind the heavy commercialization of the brand as long as he makes great, interesting clothes.
I haven't seen this much poetry in a Burberry collection since he was showing in Milan (fall 2009) I absolutely adored it. the colors and shapes are amazing and I love the coats too (though I could have used a few more). I'm a huge fan of the negligeeeignoir dresses too, they looks so pretty in autumn/winter collections when paired with chunky wool coats and boots
I think this collection is beautiful. Flowing little pieces of art. The way the front of the bags complement the patterns of the scarves and coats is like abstract paintings. The only thing I wish would be for some kind of surprise change. I got tired of seeing the same belt in every outfit. A few outfits that complimented but were different would have made this stellar.
