Burberry got killed off when all the football hooligans started to wear it.

They have tried making it feel a bit younger by using bright airy colours but at the end of the day "Plaid is Plaid"

Well, Meowmix said it, it's all over DC, although I feel it's old by now. I started seeing it here 2 years ago, and then last winter I was seeing it everywhere- scarves, skirts, coats. I used to want a scarf, but I don't think I'd do it now because it's overhyped. Although I confess to actually liking the Nova Plaid- don't hate me! If it wasn't everywhere, I'd wear it.

To prove that the trend's old ..you may check some videos from a couple of years ago ... like BBMak and Lil' Bow-Wow and others...

Funny how everyone seems to think Burberry is "Passe" yet you still drool over Louis Vuitton bags LOL

LV is dead. All you fashionistas should know that.

PS :Burberry died 2 years ago but I still wear my cashmere Burberry when its really cold because it keeps me warm,

i hate people that wear designer just because it's desginer...(burberry et lv) it's annoying esp. seeing people all decked out in designer, i think classic pieces are the way to go...and they last forever...a burberry trench or scraf and a lv bag... i mean, they're never going to fade.

and even worse...fake stuff, i can't stand it and get a lil offended when i see really bad fake stuff.

I SO TOTALLY agree with you.  . I still wear my Burberry scarf, because you are so right, it really keeps me warm. I just bought a trench coat, which is classic and will always be fashionable. I have seen more fake LV bags in the last two days, than anything by Burberry. What does that say about LV? :innocent:

I like some burberry stuff, I have a few of their polos with the nova strip underneath the 2 buttons, I think its perceived by most as a status symbol, I personally think its a little loud in some instances

I love their tonal plaid messenger bag tho, it looks brown except when u look up close and u can see the faint novacheck

I got a glimpse of their summer line on 57th street. Its predominately light colors with these hideous neon green accent pieces...........i havent seen anything this horid in a long time

Also, remember they make some very nice pieces without any plaid on them, my brother has a navy french cuff burb shirt with silver pinstripes thats amazing

Burberry is classic but it's been over-done by people buying fakes off the market. It just seems so cheap now because everyone has it. Sometimes it's hard to tell between genuine and fake.
