C California Style March 2007 : Amber Valletta by Brian Bowen Smith

I like the fact they've been touched to achieve that old film noir poster look.

I don't think Dita is cheap! She does her number as being a sex symbol and she does it pretty well!

and the interview....

n the March issue of "C" Magazine, Amber Valletta is featured looking quite divine. The photos were taken on a sandy beach in Malibu. The model/actress calls California her home and says she wouldn't want it any other way.

"I commend anyone who has children in New York. I got pregnant, and it was such a good excuse to leave. My son has never lived there, but he was with me for a few weeks when I filmed Hitch there. We're both so noise sensitive, with the jackhammers, the taxis honking, people everywhere. Here, we're outside a lot. We'll go hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains. My life here is totally different." Amber gushes.

She has made her mark on the show-biz industry with fourteen movies under belt such as "Hitch" and "Raising Helen." Amber has already completed three more films due out later this year. However, she states that her acting career has required extra work to achieve success, despite her gorgeous good looks.

"And I've had to work twice as hard as somebody who didn't have modeling in their past. I'm not asking for pity, though. All of those experiences add up to who I am today."

More Details from "C" Magazine's Interview With Amber, Including Current Feelings for Fashion, After the Jump.

From modeling to acting, the blonde beauty has been a part of every angle in both industries. She was a part of "House of Style" in 1995 and has since amassed multiple film roles along the way, each a bit meatier than the last.

"People tell me they grew up looking at pictures of me. And I think, 'Wait a second. I'm still pretty young.' Sometimes even younger than they are. I was 16 or 17 working in a very adult world...I remember waking up and not wanting to go to work and not having a choice, thinking 'I hate this,' and feeling like was completely undeserving at the same time. At a certain point in my career, I was very sad. Which goes to show you money really doesn't buy everything."

Even though she feels that she has closed the door on height of her modeling career, she is clearly content with the new path she has chosen as a result of her choice to pursue acting.

"When I started modeling, it was a huge time in fashion creatively...the level of excitement--it's just not the same anymore. Clothing wise, there's been some great stuff. But it feels like this big, polished corporate machine. In a way, I feel like I left the business at a great time."
