AT only 16 years old, Bunbury model Caitlin Lomax could be poised to follow in the footsteps of famous exports like Nicole Trunfio and Miss Universe finalist Tiarn Brandis.
The Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School student impressed judges - including Vivien's Model Management head booker Ange Stavrainakos, Curve Magazine's Brooke Maitland and Harper's Bazaar and Vogue photographer Chris Huzzard - on the catwalk at the finals of WA's Next Top Model on Friday night, taking out the prestigious title from a lineup of 28 finalists.
Caitlin, who was introduced to modelling by her grandmother, said she was still in shock over her win.
"I don't remember going up there and it still hasn't sunk in properly," she said.
A self-confessed lover of heavy metal music - she says her back-up career choice is as a sound technician - Caitlin said she would love to make a career of modelling and travel the world.
Caitlin has appeared in the Mandurah Boat Show and Melbourne Cup parades as well as making the finals for Vivien's and Dolly Magazine's search for a supermodel competitions.
Classique Model Management director Tamara Herring said Caitlin had that something special judges looked for.
"She's got that classic bone structure, her height - she's got the X-factor," she said.
"There's always been something about her."
