No, they did several eds and covers for American Vogue, only a few for the Italian one and some Calvin Klein ads. Her last work together was the April cover of US Vogue along Maggie Rizer. Quite sad because after that she didn't appeared on the cover of VI for the next 20 years.

Is there a story behind that? Other than the fact that Meisel likes to discover the girls himself and be the one to introduce them to the fashion world.

No one knows. But quite both, more Kate, avoid to mention the other part. In every retrospective about Steven, there's no evidence of the work with Kate. And Moss's instagram only has a Meisel post once or twice by year. But Meisel worked with Lila a year ago. That's a sign of something good, isn't it?
