most models her height (5'8) would struggle to get booked for the big shows. i heard that she is getting booked because she is a delevigne and at the end of the day its all about your connections/ your background and your fame in this industry. its usually the 5'11 girsl who book shows like this she is easily the shortest and only doing them because of her surname and connections. for example she booked burberry because testino is a family friend.

Her family connections are obviously the main reason she's been booking all her big jobs, there's no denying that. However 5'8 isn't too short to model, she's well proportioned, has an exquisite face and an apparent big personality so I doubt it's the only reason she's been doing so well.

^ Yep, I agree. Also, note how many other British "it" girls with powerful families photographed campaigns with the likes of Testino and graced spreads for i-D, British Vogue but never really made it to any blue chip jobs beyond London's borders in the long run.
Also, Cara didn't do well at all in her first two runway seasons despite being a Delevinge.

I love this girl, somehow. Cara does have perfect proportions, a face that is simply beautiful and powerful expressions. Her editorial work is simply fantastic and so her runway presence is. I think she's doing her job much better than many "simple" models.

i disagree, the majority of her editorials and other jobs stem from her long term campaigns for burberry. the first two times she booked burberry she basically didnt get any other jobs except burberry related, its only now that she is in her fourth year running as a burberry girl that others have started to book her. her own agencies lie about her height and if you ever read about her, there is always the mention of her famous surname and of course... burberry.

Cara has been modelling for quite some time now, before her big Burberry break she was a permanent fixture on ASOS for over a year, who i doubt would care if she was Delevingne or not, she's booking these shows because she is flawless and has such a great personality, she's absolutely killing it

Agreed! Nepotism or not, she has a great face, great cheekbones. Besides, there are plenty of models her height (or shorter) who walk, so why not?
