Cara Delevingne

Moderators' Note:

Please do not post gif's in tFS threads. They really don't bring any new or meaningful content about the model's work or style and they eat up way too much bandwidth, when other members view the page.

Also, please refrain from posting personal pics from the models' social media sites, etc. In Supporting Cast, we prefer you keep the topic on their work and their personal style. The Fashion Spot is not intended to be a fan forum.

Thanks!

NYFW: Hey, Girls
"Simple, classic and chic" - the words that Wella hair stylist Eugene Souleiman used to describe the look today backstage at DKNY. Quite a grown-up departure for the sister brand to Donna Karan, modelled here by British model-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne.

CARA DELEVINGNE
Her nickname’s Monster and she’s where the wild things are, banging the drums and leading the Burberry bandits. Cara Delevingne is all street Cool with a capital C: she’s a single girl who will spice up your life and should she have her time over, she’d ensure it was some kind of Jim Morrison mayhem.

The one tribe I would pledge my allegiance to – is…
The Illuminati because I want to know the truth.

If I had a gang I would call it…
Bang Gang.

And our uniform would be…
Animal costumes and headpieces.

I first started playing the drums when…
I started tapping out rhythms and noises in my head and then decided to articulate these through an instrument, and the drums were my choice. I have been playing ever since.

Favourite cult film?
Spice World.

And fave cult band?
The Spice Girls.

If I could jam in any band – living or dead – it would be…
To conduct the Mozart Orchestra.

If I could choose any role to play on the silver screen, it would be…
It was always Alice In Wonderland, but in the future I would love to play Martha in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, she is the most interesting character.

My acting idol is…
Meryl Streep who is believable in every role, she deserves an Oscar for every performance. She gives so much to every character and makes you love her.

My sister always tells me…
To give back her clothes.

The best story I’ve ever heard...
Is about me, and I have heard it said a few times so I think it’s true. When I was about eight-years-old, I was at a New Year’s Eve party with my family and lots of our friends, and Andrew Lloyd Webber was there, and everyone encouraged him to play his new melody on the piano. So he agreed and he started playing, and everyone was stunned into silence because it was so beautiful. And apparently I went and sat next to him at the piano and started smashing the piano keys. I ruined Andrew Lloyd Webber’s beautiful piano recital.

The most exciting place right now is? My bedroom …
’Cos I’m single and it’s the best place to be.

I’m obsessed with…
Polaroid cameras and film. I even have one of the old Spice Girl cameras. I love carrying all my film and old filters around with me and am forever taking pictures. I have been videoing forever as well, but I got into Polaroid film after an incredible trip to Tokyo.

Of my childhood, the thing I remember most is…
Being butt-naked. I hated clothes. I hated pink things and general girly-ness. I loved sport and was a tomboy.

I always wanted to be a…
Superhero so I could save people and be the centre of attention. I also had this weird passion for dentistry and loved looking inside my mouth. Weird.

If I had my time over, I would...
Have been a feral child who grew up wild in the forest or jungle.

I’m surprised by…
Not much to be honest, unexpected kindness surprises me.

First impressions are...
Always right, I always go with my gut instinct.

Right now, I’m listening to...
Rihanna, Rita Ora and Azealia Banks.

I couldn’t live without...
My friends and family.

The last movie I watched was...
Beatlejuice.

The last book I read was...
Just Kids by Patti Smith.

My pin-up boy is...
James Franco, he’s beautiful, and A$AP Rocky, he’s hot.

When I see myself on screen...
I cringe.

One of my favourite jobs so far has been...
The Chanel show in Tokyo will always be a memorable experience for me. There were 70 models, the clothes were exquisite, the atmosphere electric, it was like theatre. We all stayed in the most amazing hotel in Tokyo. I was with my Girl Gang (Lily Donaldson, Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls, Arizona Muse, Lindsey Wixson and Alice Dellal) and we all went to a five-storey sex shop which had a gold padded Karaoke room, we all wore masks and had a lot of fun.

My wardrobe consists of...
Jeans, trainers, T-shirts, leather and some treasures from Burberry.

My defining personality trait is...
My hyperactivity.

My nickname is...
Monster (from my grandmother).

The best advice I was ever given was…
To think before I speak.
