Going against my rules of never buying "designer inspired" items, I broke down and bought a pair of LV "inspired pumps". (I rationalized by saying I'll never actually find a real pair let alone be able to afford them) I was pleasently surprised when I recieved the shoes, material is great, wore them for an evening and they weren't ripping my feet apart! Since I will obviously be getting some use out of the shoes (they look adorable with just a plain blue jean) I want to protect them. I looked around while I shopping the other day and only found products for leather protection, no satin. Is there such a thing? and can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!! :flower:

 I have those! The authentic ones - I love them and they are so comfortable.

My care-instruction would be: wear them to Indoor-Parties only. If there is the slightest possibility for rain: don`t wear them!

Wear plastic baggies strapped around your ankles when you wear them ;)

I did that once when I was wearing my silver Prada sneakers to a camping  I had trash bags tied up with electric tape... but you know what? I loved it, It turned out to look like some sort of eskimo style Dior moon boot

ohhh Heroin I envy your authentic ones, although I feel nervous enough about walking around with a designer bag. So far they have survived an indoor party without incident, i'm not terribly sure that I'll get desperate enough to wear baggies around them in the rain ;)

take your shoes to a shoe repair place and ask them to put water protectant (better if the shoes are new) this way if they will get dirty you will be able to wipe off the dirt without ruining the fabirc. I normally use baby wipes for cleaning my satin shoes. hope that helps

I wore my LV Speedy 25 five times out since X-Mas and I swear IT STARTED TO RAIN EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! No kidding!

Just in case it takes a little envy away: I wore my Red LV Pumps ONCE (indoor, to the X-Mas Party of PR Agency)...and now they are "last season`s shoes" ...490 Euro for 3 hours on my feet...

ooh i have those in black they are DIVINE! i use a regular protector for rain&stan from ravel, it protects satin as well as suede and other delicate fabrics.
