something quite interesting hapenning in the placement of the buttons in the first jacket. i like the weight necklace a lot, the shoes and the metal handle. and every piece seems to have some subtle details. it all looks great.
thank you runner.

is this the one he did with the crochet neck pieces, runner?

i love that first jacket. very subdued, kind of basic-y though, even for him. which isn't a bad thing just doesn't have the same oomph i usually get from his work.

Thanks for posting, runner.
I do like the twisted button up shirt. I think you're right though Scott - everything does look a little subdued. Though probably because we can't see the details..
Those belts remind me of the ones he did for his 'Safe' collection (ss 05 i think?)

avantster,i also realise that these are only a few looks. i'm sure there's also more to the collection than just this. i can't imagine the simpler, accessible bits being the sole of a collection for him. usually,a melting pot of that and the more experimental.

i'd love to see something more experimental too
i like how the waist curves in a bit on the long-sleeve shirt

what do you mean Scott?
sorry

you are all welcome

the pieces in #1 & 2 are what one store bought.
and maybe just the first shipment of it received this month.
but every store cannot handle such pieces as would be expected here.

in the main CCP thread, you were talking of some of the stuff you had saw. can't remember if it was spring or last autumn. but it was the neckpiece that was crochet of silver metallic.

I like a lot fo this. Even though the items shown look somewhat subtle, I think it is rather cohesive with his other collections. I could totally see wearing that asymmetrical button down with his older overlock leather jacket and a pair of u-shaped trousers.

For some reason I keep coming back to that belt in the middle, something about the color that intrigues me. Maybe I'll have to splurge this year....I need a good belt. :)

it's about S/S 07
so yes Scott
the crochet silver item this season is the silver clasp knife necklace.
if you like those items, last fall was a good harvest of them.
I liked the neckpiece which looked like only v-neckline part of a crochet silver sweater.

Im in love with the leather jacket.............
the jacket with shirt sleeves seems like a nice idea........ dont know if id wear that one though.

thanks for the pics runner.........

The white sportscoat seems to be more destructured than usual, no Pagoda shoulders and probably no/close to no shoulder padding. Anybody read a statement Poell released about this collection, I know he's sometimes more artisanal than a true deconstructionist but, while some items may look interesting, I don't quite get the "intent" of this collection.

you're welcome zamb

for me it's a shirt with lapels.
(but that might imply his shirt has been tailored like a jacket in some ways)

I think the intent is incorporated into the structures.
his way of struggle has an inward vector.
