Following up on his cruise odyssey (based on a Parisian student getting lost in the Louvre and coming out with a very worldly Carven wardrobe), Guillaume Henry continued to dabble in world history for spring. Here, a stormy volcanic ash cloud erupted across a simple dress with white piping, while cropped flared pants sported painterly images of Pompeii-like ruins. A range of delightful neo-Parisian frocks lifted colors inspired by ancient terra-cotta pottery and Mediterranean blues. It made for a young mix-and-match wardrobe that emphasized Henry’s laid-back way of mixing couture elements with fresh, sporty, contemporary details.
