I agree - I like Kidman most of the time, but Cate IMO surpasses all of them with her incredible choices and the elegance with which she pulls off every single look That last YSL dress

you're right eostre....no other 'young' actress comes close to cate, imo....even though i love a few others (julia roberts, nicole), they cannot compete.....she is regal and elegant in a way only old hollywood stars were, and yet she's brave and innovative in a very very modern way.....she strikes such an amazing balance....

does she have a stylist, does anyone know?....
i wonder how much of 'herself' is in her fashion choices.....she is more unique (fashion-wise) than almost any other hollywood actress out there....

Cate Blanchett scored another style victory in a violet Yves St. Laurent frock at the premiere of Notes on a Scandal at the Berlin Film Festival in Germany. Just last week, the Aussie actress wowed the same crowd with her futuristic Givenchy gown at the premiere of The Good German. Blanchett appears to be gearing up for her appearance on the red carpet at the Academy Awards later this month, where she'll stroll into the Kodak Theater to compete for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar.

Well her features may not be beautiful in a classic way (small nose, big eyes etc etc) but i think that she is amazingly beautiful in a very special way. i'd say her looks have an edge...
