London based fashion editor, consultant and creative director, Catherine Hayward is the Fashion Director of Esquire UK magazine and, formerly, the style biannual, The Big Black Book. She is responsible for planning, directing, styling and producing main fashion content - in print and on-line - including main fashion shoots, covers, cover stories, fashion features, trend analysis and social media coverage.
She is a member of the British Fashion Council's menswear committee and the BFC's NEW GEN MEN selection panel for menswear.
She co-authored Man About Town - a glossy history book about the evolution of men's fashion in the 20th century published by Hamlyn/Octopus
and wrote a regular Fashion Dictator style column for Esquire's website.
She regularly dresses actor Jeremy Irvine for the red carpet.
She has contributed to The Sunday Times, The Independent and Radio 4 and podcasted for Oliver Spencer at Liberty and Hugo Boss. Freelance projects include music video styling (Coldplay - Talk), creative directorship of London based label Baartmans and Siegel, advertising campaign styling and art directing for Pernod Ricard, Credit Suisse, Canon Cameras, Turnbull & Asser, Dunhill, Marks & Spencer, John Lewis and River Island plus short film costume and styling (A Nice Touch starring Dougray Scott and Paloma Faith. Before Esquire, Catherine worked for several years at British GQ magazine as Fashion Editor.
