It is a notoriously fickle and bitchy world, but to Aussie supermodel Catherine McNeil, the international fashion stage is still full of lovely people.
Take Gisele Bundchen, the world's top paid model who hasn't let a $US150 million-plus ($210 million) fortune go to her head.
"I was working with Gisele one time in LA and she was just so amazing and so sweet and like respected everyone," said our self-proclaimed Bogan from Logan, who's in town for tomorrow night's NRA design awards.
"Even myself, I didn't know her at all and she was so nice and I kind of appreciated that."
Then there's Louis Vuitton's flamboyant chief designer Marc Jacobs, who's "a bit crazy" but still "nice".
"Louis Vuitton I really loved this season and I don't really think anyone else liked it but I think my (catwalk) outfit was probably the best," the 20-year-old said.
Over at Catherine's perennial favourite Givenchy, there's designer Ricardo Tisci, who is "a man but (still) knows what he's doing".
The 20-year-old stunner paused over lunch at Riverside noshery Jellyfish to chat with Confidential amid a whirlwind hometown visit.
Catherine is now ranked in the top 10 supermodels in the world, but she said old friends who have nothing to do with the fashion industry are more important than ever.
"I still keep in contact with about three or four people from high school and I love it, I come over and they keep me grounded and I don't have to hear anything about fashion the whole time I'm home," she said.
Catherine lives in New York and said she's still trying to get her old crew to sort out passports so they'll visit.
