Well, sorry to rain on your parade guys, but if a model is trying to make a comeback, then skipping NYC doesn't seem to me the cleverest way of going about it. Whilst it's true that NY doesn't have the cachet of Milan or Paris, it's a damn sight more important than London. Besides, all the top editors, stylists, photographers etc attend the NYFW, and if I'm not terribly wrong, many who cast for NY also happen to be the ones in charge of the casting in Milan and Paris. Almost all models who have strong seasons happen to do very well in all cities, unless one is a superstar like Freya or Natasha in which case skipping a city doesn't make a jot of difference.

So if she chose to skip NY, then I don't think it's the wisest decision on her part. I hope that isn't the case and that she's working on something bigger - but I am rather sceptical about that.

Seriously, NYFW is so unimportant on so many levels. Sure the American editors all show up, but the US isn't the world. If you have a great season in Milan and Paris, well, that's all you need. The casters may be the same, but it's not like the designers don't have a say. I don't think Cat fits NYFW very well, she's not bland enough :ninja:

I like many of the NYFW shows Oscar, MK, CK, Wang, Rodarte and others I would have loved to see her walk here. Oh well. I was hoping for something better than 4 shots. I hope for V.

new york, milan, paris, whatever, cat will be just fine. editors, stylists, designers, casting directors, photographers still know her name. she's certainly going in the right direction with VI.

baby steps...

Maybe Cat has good reason to not be in NY and it isn't just a case of she can't be bothered. I for one would much rather she skipped NY if it means more chance of her showing in Milan and Paris as opposed to her starting strong in NY and then fizzling out, which she's done a couple of times in the past. NY isn't essential, Daphne Groeneveld for example did only the best shows in Milan and Paris her first season and it never did her any harm.

Lets not worry about it. For my taste, Milan and Paris are more important, and Im pretty sure Cat will comeback. That ed of Vogue Italia makes us be sure about her comeback.

Milan and Paris, Milan and Paris, Milan and Paris.... I know she's not got a showcard for NY but maybe she'll do Carolina Herrera, she's still the face of 212VIP.

^ She's actually been replaced with Natasa Vojnovic as the face of 212 Vip, and I am not keeping my hopes up for New York, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for Milan and Paris ^_^

Ugh, I was hoping that would be a perfume campaign that would stay the same, never mind.

Still, Milan and Paris.
