okay, I think this is a fine collection, even if Menichetti and Celine don't mesh enough yet, and he does not seem to be performing up to his real ability.

alrighty... i am going to say this... IT'S UGLY! I thought the same thing about it resembling some older Prada. It's hard and stiff and lifeless. What happened to shape and color. They want everyone to live up to Tom Ford but no one is made to live up to Michael Kors. I didn't pay Celine any attention until him. Looks like I'm going away again.

i wonder how long his contract is with celine...i hated the colors -- but then again, i hate most color, so i can't use that as my only guide -- i think that menichetti took celine in a modern direction it was desperately lacking under kors. kors designs for the ostentatious jetsetter, this was for the sleeker, more modern, more cosmopolitan woman. even so, i did not think he connected to what was past, but at least he gave us his vision up front...it was almost a "take it or leave it" approach rather than an easing into (like we saw at gucci).
