First original thread in our new forum, and what a beautiful one at that :woot: The 4th shot is my favorite, Guinevere's profile is just amazing. The swimsuit shot is gorgeous, too.

Thanks for posting!

It's indeed amazing!
Back when Chanel ads were still classy :innocent:

love these

I also love that I can appreciate Guinevere's beauty in a such a different way than when I first saw her in the 90s...
I didn't 'get' it before, but now I most definitely do...

their skin looks luminous... really beautiful

Lol  I can't believe this is vintage  I am so old if that's the case!!! These still seem modern and so beautiful :) Guin is a doll

That happened to me too.. I'd actually find her face a little irritating in the late 90s.. my mind was set on Esther Cañadas, Ana Claudia Michels, Mini Anden, all these models with remarkable mannequin features, pretty coherent with the designers I was into I guess (at the time I thought Chloé by Stella was the ultimate example of vision and taste *giggles*). I think that popular aesthetic in general, later magnified with Gisele, contributed to her moderate success, cause she was almost an antithesis of that. I was definitely more receptive to her way later, when she started to appear again in more stories in the mid noughties.. she's definitely acquired taste but I also feel like a lot of her best work has come out in this past decade because her type of beauty, until then, had not been explored to all of its potential.. and there's also more depth to it, which is still here in this campaign, just not as intriguing as it is now imo.

^^So true... I completely agree with you...
I was so enamored by those same girls you mentioned and I remember thinking Guinevere was so odd and borderline ugly(!) which seems so absurd to me now because I'm so taken with her face/body and I love that she's something different from the norm.
Makes me glad to see that I've evolved I guess :p

stop, guinevere shots are from cruise and stella`s from f/w 1996 i ve got catalogs) so they re from different camapaigns

The campaign is very amazing. I miss the old campaigns of Chanel :(
All shots are very fabulous, I can't choose which one is better.
