That happened to me too.. I'd actually find her face a little irritating in the late 90s.. my mind was set on Esther Cañadas, Ana Claudia Michels, Mini Anden, all these models with remarkable mannequin features, pretty coherent with the designers I was into I guess (at the time I thought Chloé by Stella was the ultimate example of vision and taste *giggles*). I think that popular aesthetic in general, later magnified with Gisele, contributed to her moderate success, cause she was almost an antithesis of that. I was definitely more receptive to her way later, when she started to appear again in more stories in the mid noughties.. she's definitely acquired taste but I also feel like a lot of her best work has come out in this past decade because her type of beauty, until then, had not been explored to all of its potential.. and there's also more depth to it, which is still here in this campaign, just not as intriguing as it is now imo.I also love that I can appreciate Guinevere's beauty in a such a different way than when I first saw her in the 90s...
I didn't 'get' it before, but now I most definitely do...
