Is Chanel 1/2 Asian- which is what I read somewhere- or a 1/4? Her mother looks biracial.

her mother just has a tan---she is korean. i have seen pics of chanel's family numerous times--

As a fair skinned African American girl, I look at her the same way alot of Asian girls look at Hye Park- she's pretty, but there are certainly prettier girls in our community

She seems to be getting a lot of work though... maybe I'm just hatin'

Hmm. There are prettier girls (heavens knows I wonder why Emmanuela De Paula isn't getting tons of high profile bookings) but I think Chanel has a very unique look that will mature well. Some may find her too commercial but I think that might have something to do with her youth, she really is still a child and her face doesn't quite have the maturity that alot of the older girls have. I think that serves to make her look a bit more commercial, as she gets older I think she'll have much more potential. That said we have not seen much editorial work from her so I think we don't yet know what she can really do.

i agree 100% its mot fair. meanwhile back on topic i can see a cosmetics contract sometime soon, she would suit a classic line like estee lauder or even Iman cosmetics perfectly

That's a great idea for Iman to contact her for her line. Although, I don't think she gives out any contract to models, she does feature them in various photoshoots for her line.

I cannot wait until the runways are over and we see her in editorials! Ah!!
